The mission of the University of Denver is to promote learning by engaging with students in advancing scholarly inquiry, cultivating critical and creative thought, and generating knowledge. Our active partnerships with local and global communities contribute to a sustainable common good.
The University of Denver has a mission of being a great private university dedicated to the public good. As part of that, the Office of Internationalization in collaboration with our Office of Teaching and Learning runs the COIL VE program training and supporting internal instructors and courses, as well as providing workshops, conference sessions, and webinars.
These are the services we provide to the field:
We offer workshops, institutes and customized training for institutions and instructors around implementing COIL VE with a particular emphasis on infusing intercultural learning outcomes, activities and assessment.
Our team has put together a short online course on designing and implementing a COIL VE that is directed at instructors. This is free and open to institutions or individuals as an accessible entry point:
In addition to running workshops for external organizations domestically and internationally, we have presented at numerous workshops and conferences on COIL.
